The Drawing of a Life

I was born in Barcelona on a cold January day, and often it feels like the stars pull the strings of my Capricorn nature. Does perfection exist? I don’t know, but I keep searching for it, caught in this endless journey.

For the past few years, I’ve lived in Òrrius, the most beautiful village in the world and the smallest in the Maresme. As the saying goes… “Good things come in small packages.”

I have been a graphic designer since 1985, in love with beauty, lines, and forms. To me, every element, like in a puzzle, has its own unique place—you just have to find it!

I have been a graphic designer since 1985, deeply in love with beauty, lines, and shapes. To me, every element, like in a puzzle, has its own unique place—you just have to find it!

Each new project is a personal challenge for me… and perhaps a treat for you?

In 1987, between professional projects, I dared to dream beyond, to draw and paint.

I started at the Retaule workshop, where, with a brush or pencil in hand, time seemed to disappear.

Thus, I experienced the contrast between the millimetric precision of design and the joyful dance of hand and brush across a canvas.

However, my profession took over, and my fine arts project had to be put on hold sine die—but always with the firm promise of returning to it. And, as with all promises, that moment finally arrived.

I have trained with great artists who have profoundly influenced me, such as the sculptor Alícia Alegre, who taught me that the impossible is just a word and that a blank canvas is merely a starting point.
I continued my artistic journey at Taller Ítaca under the guidance of the painters Xavier Martínez, the great Xanu, who taught me that in art, the only limits are the ones we set for ourselves and always encouraged me to break boundaries, and Núria Boix whose delicate perfectionism helped me refine my vision and see things more clearly.

I collaborate with various animal welfare associations.

I have my own muse—very furry and tireless.

I admire Van Gogh and his misunderstood “madness,” Monet, Cézanne, Renoir, Lita Cabellut, Vermeer, Pissarro, Claudel, Andrew Wyeth, Paul Klee, Matisse, Modigliani, Kandinsky, Picasso, Rembrandt, Da Vinci, Gauguin, Turner, R. Casas, Schiele, Degas, Bonnard, Kisling, Mompou, Sisley, M. Gudiol, Labasque, Junyent, Luïsa Vidal, Olga Sacharoff, Klimt, J. Mir, F. Millet, Rusiñol, Meifrén, Anton Mauve, Nonell, Pascuti, Alícia Alegre, Xanu, Núria Boix, M. Rosa Campmajó, my fellow artists… and any form of artistic expression.

I am also fascinated by everything that makes a blank canvas come to life.

Because, in the end… EVERYTHING IS ART.
